When Buildings Design Themselves
Lance Hosey in conversation with Semiha Ergan

August 6th, 2021 at 8am PDT

Will machines ever be able to design buildings? Rather than debating about whether or when this might happen, we can ask, What if it did? How might architecture evolve if computers completely took over the design and construction process? This talk will explore the implications of a built environment un designed by people. Automation has the power to revolutionize the design industry and possibly eliminate architects in the process. Can architects get smarter about solving serious new challenges, or will they risk becoming obsolete?
