Sandra Beck is a California registered architect, a LEED AP, and a skilled project delivery professional. Sandra has 40 years of strategic project delivery experience, fully realized by integrating her business management, architecture, and construction expertise.
Her expertise in Design/Build and other forms of Integrated Project Delivery along with her background in complex capital programs, have strongly influenced Sandra’s approach to capital projects and streamlining the project delivery process. She was a leader at both UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco in their efforts to develop IPD & Lean methodologies, and incorporated both into the delivery of multiple capital projects on both campuses.

James Pease is an owner's representative for the delivery of complex construction projects using Lean Integrated Project Delivery.  He is the executive director of Health Design and Construction at the University of California, San Francisco.  James is a board member of the Lean Construction Institute and
is committed to improving the design and construction industry as a recognized speaker, Lean IPD Coach
and executive editor of leanipd.com.  James has a B.S. in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego and is a CA licensed general contractor.

•California Licensed Architect with thirty-seven years of experience in architectural design, construction, project management and administration for healthcare, research institutions and local government.
•Responsible for developing and implementing public construction contracts for leases, P3, job order contracting, design/build, lump sum and CM at Risk delivery methods.
•Current responsibilities include director of Facilities Planning & Development, Facilities Design & Construction, Quality Control & Inspection, UCDavis Health Capital program. Current projects include $600M of Major and Minor capital projects and $1.9B in planning of acute care, outpatient care, biomedical research and office needs for academic medical center and health system.

Larry Kollerer has 45 years of experience in Facilities operation, the design, construction, commissioning of health care projects from a few thousand dollars to a $2B, 1M sq. ft. hospital replacement. Am a member of Sutter Health Team that has developed IPD, IFOA contracting, which has enabled Sutter with our design and contractor partners to deliver the complex, highly regulated, risk intense healthcare projects on time and on budget. I oversee a department that manages 450 projects annually spending $600-$700M.

Pete Novaresi is the Director of Construction for Northern California’s  Kaiser Permanente National Facilities Construction.  Pete has been with Kaiser for about a year and a half. He previously worked as a Project Director in the healthcare industry for a General Contractor and has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare arena.
 
Pete is responsible for providing leadership and direction to all Northern California Kaiser Service areas. He is responsible to provide direction to the service areas for contracts, design and construction services.  Pete has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management from California State University, Sacramento.

Zigmund (Zig) Rubel is the Co Founder and CEO of A Design+Consulting, a firm specializing in data-driven processes to plan, design, and construct healing, learning, and discovering buildings.  Zig has over 30 years of experience and has worked on over 20 million SF of healthcare facilities throughout the world.  He holds five US patents for building products and software.  Zig is a founding Board Member and Secretary for the Center of Innovation in the Design and Construction Industry.

Jim Peraino, RA, EDAC is co-founder and CTO of Spatio Metrics. As a licensed architect and software developer, his work focuses on making it easier to generate, access, and act upon evidence about how architecture influences our health. Prior to co-founding Spatio Metrics, Jim worked at MASS Design Group, where his projects included regional hospitals currently under construction in Rwanda and Liberia.

A successful Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Alok built Inkiru, a predictive analytics platform and sold to Walmart. He has held executive roles at Verifone, eBay, PayPal and Visa, where he built and operated highly scalable transactional platforms. His latest startup Qopper is tackling operational challenges in physical spaces by bringing transactional and analytical capabilities on a unified IoT platform.

Tom Yeshurun holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering with high honours and a MBA from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Prior to founding Civdrone, Tom worked as a project manager of a 10 miles road and was overseeing the day to day field operations, financials and working with the road authority. Tom founded Civdrone with his co-founder Liav, together with a team of developers they have developed the first autonomous staking drone and a ground rover for outdoor spray paint markings.

Dr. Ali Khaloo is the CEO and Founder of Aren which is a tech startup focused on bridging the gap between artificial intelligence and civil engineering to de risk the asset management practice. After completing his Ph.D., Ali was appointed as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University’s elite Runway program at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City where Aren was born. Dr. Khaloo has close to 10 years of experience in autonomous sensing, data interpretation, and intelligent condition assessment of structures. His unique achievements in combining computer vision and machine learning with civil engineering are the driving force behind Aren’s platform. Ali is the author of more than 20 papers in international high impact journals and conference proceedings and the inventor of three patents on generating and analyzing 3D models of large civil infrastructure systems.

Deryl McKissack is Chairwoman and CEO of McKissack & McKissack, an architectural, engineering, program and construction firm managing $15 billion in projects nationwide. During the past 30 years under  her leadership, McKissack has managed such landmark projects as: the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African-American History and Culture, MGM National Harbor, Obama Presidential Center, and the Navy Pier Centennial Projects in Chicago. The firm is also known for leading the construction and serving as the architectural firm of record for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, DC.

After graduating from Penn State in 1980, with a degree in Architectural Engineering, Karen has spent the last 40 years in the construction industry, all with Turner Construction Company. Karen was the first female in the company to advance to General Manager of a business unit in 2000. In 2009, she became the head of the company wide efforts in Diversity & Inclusion, and since 2014, also leads Turner’s Community & Citizenship work.

Elizabeth Minnis, AIA, is the Deputy Commissioner for Planning with the responsibility to oversee the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' $500 million +/year capital program of strategic long-term planning and development for Higher Education, Public Safety, Judiciary, Human Services and other executive branch agencies and state offices. She leads a staff of experienced design and planning professionals who collaborate with teams of A/E firms and planning consultants to develop a wide range of projects including strategic facilities and campus master plans, repairs, renovations, energy efficiency and resiliency upgrades and planning and pre-design activities for state building projects and public development initiatives.

Victor Sanvido is responsible for developing and delivering lean design-build and integrated project delivery solutions to clients in targeted market segments. He facilitates and participates in select industry research initiatives centering on practical applications of lean principles, prefabrication, and design-build methods, to improve the delivery of projects.

Dr. Sanvido has developed several peer groups to connect owners as they implement team oriented design build and lean integrated project delivery methods. He has connected leaders and helped develop industry leading methods - for team selection, project validation, target value design, unified building information modeling, prefabrication, and lean project management. 
Dr. Sanvido received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Cape Town and his MS, Engr, and Ph.D. degrees in construction engineering and management from Stanford. He serves as a board member of the Lean Construction Institute and is active in several industry organizations. He is member of the National Academy of Construction.

both retail and healthcare.
